In the month of January BBBSBA made a big push to recruit 100 new mentors for its National Mentoring Month campaign. We partnered with Univision, Clear Channel, Cisco, the City of San Jose, San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon and our current volunteers. Overall, the agency received over 200 volunteer inquiries!
The City of San Jose recognized BBBSBA with a proclamation for National Mentoring month during a Council Member meeting.
BBBSBA partnered with San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon and his team to recruit male mentors in San Francisco. We co-hosted a big mentor mixer January 31st at Marcus Bookstore, where 5 of our Bigs were recognized for being excellent mentors.
BBBSBA public service announcements (PSA’s) were heard all month on all Clear Channel Radio stations. Univision, the leading Spanish news station in the Bay Area, also aired video PSA ‘s encouraging the Latino Community to volunteer with our agency. Our message was also seen all over Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube social media channels.
Thank you for helping BBBSBA reach its goal!
